Blood, Sweat & ………….

We’ve certainly been chipping away at the massive “to do” list after electric, plumbing, and walls were finished!

It took sooooooo long for the walls and ceilings to be finalized.  We were really excited to get paint on those surfaces, and it made an incredible difference in starting to make it feel like a little more of a home instead of a construction site.

I am proud (and a little jealous) of the attic space conversion to GIANT master closet.  I never imagined spending precious Saturdays sweating it out in an attic space installing insulation, but I did it!  The new owner will have a ton of space in this closet.

The amazing difference came when friends of ours recommended their floor specialist.  We were concerned that these used and abused 100+ year old floors were done for, but were “floored” by the amazing transformation back to beautiful, bright heart of pine floors.

I looked at replacing all of the iron registers……but that would have been super pricey!  I cleaned them thoroughly, did a matte black refinish-and they came out great. $1,000 or $10; I’ll take the latter please.

We’ve been toiling over tile in the kitchen, both bathrooms, and fireplaces for weeks.  More progress updates coming soon!!

The finish line is approaching : )

Cheers,

The Vices
